10 days and counting!

That's right! 10 more days to the start of the cricket World Cup. I am *so* excited! And Dada has been rockin', I can't wait to watch him play!

I really really wish I was going to watch the world cup, can't think of anything better than watching cricket AND bumming on the beach! But I'll be watching the matches and rooting for India and maybe we will see a repeat of our legendary win in
1983!

But I love garlic!

And how often am I lucky enough to love something that is "really good for my body"? All these years, I thought every clove of minced, chopped and crushed garlic that I gladly consumed was *so* good for my heart. Apparently not. Yummy placebo? Yes. Cholesterol lowering miracle vegetable? No. Not at all!

Note: This blog is apparently on path to including random musings :)

Another Note: That link is unhappy. This techy article should be more enlightening:

Weee!!!

3 miles this morning. I was so excited about running 2 days in a row that I woke up at 5:45 am!! I'll probably be fast asleep on my desk come 2 pm. :)

Yay for running!

Time to start running again. And this time, I have a lofty ambition - a full marathon! That does seem like a stretch, especially given that I limped my way to the finish line at the NIke Women's 1/2! But it was such a blast! Thanks LisaBee! :)

So, the idea is to shoot for the San Diego Rock'n'Roll - that's a pretty aggressive schedule, but I'm giving myself till end of March to see if that is doable.

And on that note, yesterday was 6.5 miles. With Vodka. *so* much of fun!

I'm attempting to blog?

Apparently, I've been harboring aspirations to become one of those (bloggers)! And yet, I doubt that I have engrossing enough thoughts to spill onto a blog. But I do have a big excuse for starting to scribble - this way I can keep track of all the things I want to do this year (especially my running calendar!). And maybe along the way, I will have something half interesting to say!

Hmm ... I'm liking this already, I'm writing. I haven't done that in a long time.
